"Before there was sex, before there was city, there was just me Carrie, Carrie Bradshaw". Sex and the city, is probably my all time favourite thing in the world, it never gets old really. For me I can watch every episode (as I did) over and over, and still have that warm feeling of happiness. For men, I cant see them sitting back on a Saturday night to get excited over the four girls hitting the big apple. But for women, if you have never watched it; start immediately! The story of four women, who are all best friends wandering the streets of Manhattan to find their soul mates. With ups & downs, the show which has six series ventures to see the wonderful city of NY, the cosmos on fifth avenue, designer clothes& most importantly the life of the truely beloved woman Carrie Bradshaw. Carrie, who is portrayed as a sophisticated thirty something sex columnist for the NY times, fails to escape from her love towards Mr Big. To the point im getting to, to celebrate the love of Sex and the city, today is Sarah Jessica Parkers birthday. 51 & still fabulous.
SJP is literally my icon. She inspired me from the first day I fell in love with her character Carrie, from reading Candace Bushnells books (the author of SATC); I have walked the pathway through each episode of the show. With six series recorded, two wonderful movies, the fashion, the lust & magic never really faded. Every woman around the world relates to one character whether your a Carrie or Samantha, every gal has the guilty pleasure of admitting to be similar to one. SJP a style icon outside the HBO programme, has chanelled her style in her own wardrobe at home by creating her own clothing & shoe range.
Her love for Manolos & Vivenne Westwood have blossomed her own style which every woman wants. Her shoe collection, getting bigger than ever are truely spectacular.
In the following, im going to reflect some of my favourite styles by SJP & a cheeky sneek at her remarkable shoe collection. Oh and if you havnt fell in love with Sex and the city yet, please do; you wont regret it!
