Fashion World -1

As we all know the fashion world is a huge industry. With all the different styles, eras, spotlights & designers it all links to one big craze right? It is evenly divided into many sectors of fashion, from casual sports wear to elegant frock gowns. We all have our own style, it often changes but our internal style stays forever. It even depends on the day or your mood- if your feeling lazy what's best but baggy pants, a jumper alongside your hair in a messy bun. Since I have being blogging I noticed more exotic styles such as boohoo & indie. I think the more indulged you are in fashion., the more little things in styles you remember. Even though we all love Chanel, Alexander Wang & Balmain, its hard to afford it especially for college students like myself. Maybe some day I can splash my cash on a pair of Dolce heels, but for now ill stick to our truly loved affordable shops. Shopping in Ireland can be fun, thats if  you have the right stores alongside knowing what your looking for. Its sometimes hard to find the perfect outfit or the perfect pair of heels. But dont stress- there's always online shopping, and of course many other places. What I find when shopping, is that when you need something urgently you tend to buy the first thing you see- not looking at the price nor even if its that nice. I think we are all guilty, and tend to do it a lot. Any more dont, as i said before there is so many other ways, even if your event is the next day- dont buy something for the sake of it. It will just leave a clutter in your wardrobe. My advice for the day, is when coming up to an event maybe two-three weeks before browse online, see what you can see or what sparks your interest. If you dont, the week before go on a major shopping spree, and if all comes to fail borrow of a friend or wear something you wore before. Lesson of the day: dont buy inconvenient clothes just for the sake of it- it will get you nowhere.

Sweet Dreams

Dress to impress no matter what time it is right? Well then why not dress in comfort & glamour to bed. Personally I always wear nightdresses to bed, as I hate being too warm. Everyone is different, pyjamas, nightgowns or onesies- we all love nightwear. Sadly we don't get to flaunt the style around in public, or honestly we don't really care much about it. As it is a part of our beauty sleep-  why not be a sleeping beauty in these following fab nightwear. The following, were my top picks from the online website Missguided.com. Although they are quite expensive; I couldn't resist blogging about it- so pretty! If you want a cheaper version of the clothing, why not try Dunnes Stores, who have an excellent nightwear line alongside sleek slippers and fluffy socks to die in comfort for. I hope the following makes your sleeps more comforting  and indeed fabulous- Goodnight pretty ladies xx

My Trip To Dublin- What I Wore

Last weekend, myself and Daniel took a trip to Dublin to celebrate the lovely valentines day. Previously on my blog, I talked about different outfits you can wear on valentines, luckily with the help of my research I picked out what I thought was an elegant flattering dress, from Topshop. The dress was a black midi lace dress, which came below the knee. I wore it with my nude River Island court heels, alongside my hair in a sleek back bun. I wore my hair this way basically because the dress was high neck and it had quite a lot of detail upon it. Always wear your hair ladies up if your wearing a long detailed outfit, mainly because if you have your hair down with lots of jewellery it sadly takes the look of your outfit. I also wore my new favourite piece of jewellery, my fabulous Daniel Wellington watch and left it at that without any other adjustments. My make-up was simple yet classy. Where can you go wrong with red lippy?? Perfect for the occasion, and it added the finishing colour to the look.

Its All About Denim

Denim is never outdated. Its always in style, and you can wear it going out in the town or even having a lazy day with friends. Even if its a denim jacket or a pair of old jeans its still a fashion statement. During the 90's denim was a big thing; everyone wore denim, both males  females. In the fashion world today, denim is still flourishing its way through the sparkling catwalk, people even wearing denim on denim which is so flattering. To the point I'm getting to, always wear denim its an ideal clothing item- whether your a casual chic or a glamour gal you can go through the denim pathway in absolute style.

To help you achieve the look, here is some denim pieces from my very favourite online store, Boohoo.

Loren Distressed Rip Knee Skinny Jeans
Jayne A Line Denim Pinifore

Emma Long Sleeve Button Through Playsuit

Laura Oversized Denim Smock Dress

Anthea A Line Button Through Denim Pinafore

Briana Light Blue Extreme Ripped Boyfriend Jeans

A Little Bit About Me

Good morning ladies, one of my friends recently told me to write a piece about myself, explaining to you all how I came up with my blog and my aims for it etc. Well I took this rainy morning to tell you all in brief "Who Iam" in other words. For those who do not know me, I'm Hayley Doherty and I'm ninteen years old. During my leaving cert year which was last year,  many people told me to set up a blog. At the time I wasn't really into blogs or even reading people's, as I was so clogged up with study. However during my free time on the weekends I began to turn my Instagram into a mini blog but not advertising it. I started reading blogs such as Sosueme, Rosy Connollys and many more. When doing out my CAO for college I greatly decided I was going to go straight into journalism, until I was warned by many people to not go into it straight away- because of work etc. So I took the other route, I decided to do a Bachelor of Arts degree in NUIG galway. So if journalism becomes an epic fail, I can turn the other route and go for teaching. With my mind set on that, I decided to set up my blog during the summer months. It was kind of a failure at start, because of holidays, getting ready for college I didn't pay much attention to it- and left it unattended. In late August when I started in galway I began reading and researching more. I'm currently here studying my arts degree and in my final  year im branching out into fashion jouranalism. I've been putting a lot of hard work into my blog these last few months- (trying to think of a name which was not trademarked was the hardest).  But it safe to say im overhelmed with my blog so far. All the support, good feedback & even exciting offers I got in only two weeks. Not to mention having over 1,000 followers and likes already is amazing. I also work at the weekends and college work is getting tough, so I'm trying my best to keep it all balanced. I hope in the upcoming years I will be a fashion journalist, and because of this I applied for many interns in magazines this summer. (Fingers crossed). Anyways ladies, enough said about me. Thank you all again for you support with my blog, and I'm over the moon as mentioned previously about how far it's gone already. Keep reading more, and until next time. ✨✨✨✨

A Sneak Peek Into The SS Collection

Although Dolce  & Gabbana, Vera Wang and Roberto Cavalli are melting our fashion insides out.Its tough not been able to afford a piece of their expensive clothing this spring. However, its safe to say any woman can pull of the catwalk look without the catwalk clothing. With research done on recent magazines, I recently put together the cute outfits for this season (even suitable for our Irish weather).  By replacing Vogue with Vero Moda, I hope the following helps you achieve the spring summer look & whats in for you. With sleek back here, light make-up and vivid lips- you will be strutting like a princess for the next few months.

Colours & shades are the first big step- what colour is in, what do I wear it with? Well ladies get your pastel colours out, flares, maxi dresses & mini flat bags according to Elle magazine are all in.   Baby pinks, soft nudes & browns are perfect for spring season,  they brighten up your smile and outfit greatly. You can wear nudes with anything, and any type of shoes really. I know we all love wearing black, sleek dresses and black everything, but for the sake of springtime try to brighten up your wardrobe with more colours.
"Floral patterns are also back in, floral everything to floral plants" Balmain insisted. Also according to Prada, she wants women worldwide to start wearing their underwear over their clothing; sadly I think we can all agree we wont adapt to this trend. So thats enough tips from Fashion week and now heres a glance onto our fashion industry near us.

However not many stores in Ireland have releved their SS collections yet, but heres a sneak peek of what to buy to buy in River Island, Topshop & Vero Moda. I will write about more in mid february. But for now enjoy the look.

So here is is ladies, a look inside the spring summers closet. During the week I will be focusing on Penneys SS collection, and their perky new pump shoes.

Trousers Up

Just a quick glance on looks inspired by me for casual wear; a quiet night out or even going for a meal. Its hard to decide what to wear most of the time- the dress code is always an ambiguous question. Thanks to the invention of jeans its safe to say they rescue us every time.  Because of this we can mix & match our outfits with anything really. A classy blazer or even a plain white T with chic heels is a must wear. In the following I have just gathered some old pictures of "my casual look" by wearing jeans & my favourite golden brown flares from Boohoo. Its always nice to wear something comfy, and for a change elegant! So head out, glam up your hair & makeup and embrace the casual look- because sometimes its nicer than going OTT.

P.S: River Island jeans, moreover "Molly Jeans"are such a good buy, there extremely comfortable and come in all sizes & colours for only 50.00

Also my brown flares from Boohoo are only 14.00 & come in black and white!
